Comment MCF-7 and HepG2 cells were treated for 48 h with or without resveratrol and with or without dioxin and then analyzed for mRNA levels of the cytochrome P450s. Resveratrol treatment on its own did not affect the expression of the CYP1A1, CYP1A2, and CYP1B1 mRNAs. However, resveratrol significantly inhibited dioxin induction of CYP1A1, CYP1A2 and CYP1B1 mRNAs in MCF-7 cells and CYP1A1, CYP1A2 in HepG2 cells.
